Planned as a two-day event, Tales From The Crit kicked off with a goldsprint competition called Ro Roll Kidul on Friday June 17th 2011 held at LifeCycles Singapore. Ro Roll Kidul saw an attendance of about 200 people which quickly turned into a riot. Djs Ritz, Dub Skank’in Hifi and Ddrrff dropped heavy beats throughout the night. The crowd was not only hyped up by the Redbull, Steinlager Pure Beer (sponsor: 6 Drunk Men) and the super competitive race but also a raffle which saw the giving out of a whole lot of fantastic prizes graciously provided by our kind sponsors. The race came to an end when a 15 year-old  Muhd. Day two, Saturday June 18th 2011. As the sun set and the night be cooled, the organizers busied themselves setting up stations on the route and volunteers helped to sweep the road of debris and gravel. By midnight, all riders have reported and they were brought around the circuit before the 2 rolling star laps. Tension was high that night as the 45 riders sought to do whatever they could to calm their nerves in anticipation of the race. The first ever Fixed Gear Criterium in Singapore attracted riders from Johore Bahru, Kuala Lumpur and even as far as Hong Kong. Attended by more than 200 enthusiasts the event was over in a flash, with an intense race where the lead pack dominated the race by a 2min lead.

The night ended in a happy prize presentation with the 2nd runner-up, Faz Adhili (KL, Malaysia) winning a Soma saddle and handlebar, a pair of DZR shoes, a Timbuktu bag, a Gear Brisbane T-shirt, a Peonfx T-shirt, a Fixpatrix T-shirt, a Crank Arm Steady T-shirt, an event poster and our very own customized trophy. 1st Runner-up, Ahmad Adhli Ikram (JB, Malaysia) winning a set of
